Puccini Hotel Milan Reopens as Part of the Hilton Tapestry Collection

Puccini Hotel MIlan

Milan has a new address for design-conscious travelers. The historic Puccini Hotel has reopened under Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, bringing a fresh boutique hospitality concept to one of the city’s most dynamic districts.

Located near Teatro Puccini, the hotel has been completely reimagined with a contemporary design approach while preserving a connection to its theatrical heritage. The renovation focused on improving the building’s layout, functionality and performance, transforming the property into a refined urban hotel with the standards expected from an international luxury hospitality brand.

The project, led by architect Massimo Roj of Progetto CMR, reinterprets the hotel’s interiors with a modern sensibility. Spaces have been redesigned to feel elegant, efficient and welcoming, with particular attention given to the breakfast room, one of the hotel’s most distinctive new features. Its design pays tribute to the building’s cultural context and the theatrical identity of the surrounding area.

Beyond aesthetics, the renovation also addressed energy performance and infrastructure. The hotel now uses a hybrid energy system that includes rooftop solar panels, traditional mechanical systems and gas support for periods of peak consumption. To meet the significant water demands of a hotel of this scale, large water tanks were installed, requiring structural reinforcements within the original 1930s building.

The Tapestry Collection by Hilton is known for independent-style boutique hotels that reflect local character through design, architecture and cultural references. With the reopening of the Puccini Hotel , Hilton expands its Tapestry Collection presence in Italy, joining properties in Rome, Venice and Marina di Modica in Sicily.

For Milan, the reopening is more than a hotel launch. It is an example of how hospitality, architecture and urban regeneration can work together. The renewed Puccini Hotel brings new life to a historic building, creating a contemporary space that connects the city’s past with its evolving future.

In a city where design is part of daily life, the Puccini Hotel’s return feels well timed. It offers travelers a stylish new place to stay while adding another layer to Milan’s ever-growing hospitality and cultural landscape.
