Milan has never needed much encouragement to turn fashion into theater. But this season, it seemed more extravagant than usual.
Milan Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2027, held September 22-28, 2026, arrived after several seasons of changing creative directors and shifting identities at some of Italy’s largest houses. This time, there was a sense of designers settling in and getting down to business and, of course, showing off a bit.
There were plenty of clothes worth talking about, but these were the moments that gave the week its character.
