UniCredit Pavilion – Milan’s new venue for design, vision, and talent
We are all now very familiar with the new UniCredit Tower which stands over Milan and now marks the new modern Milano skyline and special architecture with its curved shape and spire.
In the summer of 2015, UniCredit will be presenting its new versatile multi-purpose space the UniCredit Pavilion which will promote and host meetings, conferences, conventions, exhibits, fashion shows, performances, seminars, concerts and festivals, combining art and culture as well as other expressive forms of contemporary life including debates on important issues on an international level.
“UniCredit Pavilion is the place for developing ideas, projects, visions, and talents together “
UniCredit Pavilion is an innovative, sustainable building designed by architect Michele De Lucchi, engineered with innovation, sustainability, and lightness in mind.
UniCredit Pavilion is at the heart of Milan’s new financial and business center next to the UniCredit Tower, between Piazza Gae Aulenti and the new Park “Biblioteca degli alberi”.
Dedicated to bank employees, customers and the public, it was created for the city and its business network. UniCredit Pavilion will also have a nursery school for 50 children between the ages of 0 and 3 years, an important detail which demonstrates the particular attention given to new generations, the community and innovative thinking.
Natural materials such as wood frame and a glass shell and innovative construction techniques such as no supporting columns inside allow the building to connect and blend into in an original and unique way with the new park, Piazza Gae Aulenti, and the soaring, modern lines of UniCredit Tower .Construction was done by ItalianaCostruzioni.
The UniCredit Pavilion building is characterized by:
– a wood frame;
– a glass shell;
– no columns inside;
– integration between the structure and systems;
