An inspiring and thought-provoking event returns to Milan; TEDxMilano returns for its 13th edition on January 15, 2026 at the iconic Teatro Dal Verme in Milan. The theme of this year’s TED Talks is “Humanity,” a broad and multifaceted concept that will be explored by a diverse group of speakers.

What started as a small event and a mission to spread ideas, has now become a staple in the city of Milan. Since 2012, TEDxMilano has brought together some of the most innovative minds from the local and global community, with the belief that sharing and discussing ideas can lead to positive change in people’s lives.
This year’s theme, “Humanity,” poses the question: What makes us human? In a rapidly changing world, where technology, social issues, and environmental concerns are constantly evolving, the concept of humanity holds great significance. From this perspective, the speakers at TEDxMilano will explore the meaning of humanity and how it connects us all. They will also discuss the importance of empathy, solidarity, and working towards a more equitable future.
The line-up of speakers includes Don Paolo Alliata, Martina Ardizzi, Silvia Boccardi, Enzo Manes, Guido Meda, Alessandra Minello, Matteo Motterlini, Paola Verrucchi, and the Twin Violins.
Don Paolo Alliata, a vicar at the Santa Maria Incoronata parish in Milan and the rector of Montini high school, will discuss the connection between the Bible and non-religious literature. Martina Ardizzi, a neuroscientist and professor at the University of Parma, will share her research on psychology and biology. Silvia Boccardi, a multimedia journalist, will talk about diversity, inclusion, and her work with Flares, a collective of journalists. Enzo Manes, the founder of Fondazione Dynamo, will share his journey of providing free experiences and holidays to children with serious illnesses and their families. Guido Meda, a well-known journalist and television presenter, will talk about his experiences covering major sporting events. Alessandra Minello, a demographer and author, will discuss gender differences in Italy and Europe. Matteo Motterlini, a professor of philosophy of science, will share his insights on the effects of climate change on our brains. s a researcher in theoretical physics of quantum systems at the Institute for Complex Systems of the CNR and an associate at the National Institute for Nuclear Physics, Florence section.
