Get ready to experience the Gardens of the Villa Reale of Monza in a whole new way at Patterns of Light 2023! This immersive light art exhibition will transform the historic gardens of Monza and Rome into a magical wonderland. For about 45 days, Trame di Luce will take you on a magical journey through beautiful light installations and artworks by both local and international artists. It’s a stroll of over a kilometer, creating memories to cherish during the most brilliant experience of the year.
The Magic Journey:
Walk through the Gardens of Villa Reale in Monza, adorned with Trame di Luce, and let the enchanting lights like Ancestral Fire, Carillon, Butterfly Lights, and Nebula leave you breathless. Follow the prepared path to be captivated by the brilliance of Trame di Luce at the Royal Gardens of Monza.
Luci di Gusto:
After your visit, head to the Luci di Gusto area for a delightful moment of relaxation and good food. With a winter-themed atmosphere, you can enjoy a simple, tasty, and high-quality food and wine selection. Whether it’s a snack, an aperitif, or a casual dinner in the illuminated Gardens, gourmet breaks will be joyful for all ages.
The Production:
Trame di Luce was brought to life with the expertise of national and international professionals and artists. LAC-Light Art Collection, a Dutch group known for the world’s largest collection of Light Art works, contributed seven works to the festival, including Ancestral Fire and Fluxit. Unità C1, led by Lorenzo Lopane, created multimedia installations like “Il Bosco Magico,” a 3D animation in Monza.
Special Effects and Music:
Simone Puzzolo, founder of SP Progetti Speciali, curated 11 special effect installations. The soundtrack for both routes was composed by Alberto Bof, a renowned pianist and composer. Music enhances the immersive experience provided by Trame di Luce.

Secure your entry with a digitized ticket available for purchase starting from October 21, 2023, on monza.tramediluce.it/en/ and www.ticketone.it.
Ticket prices start from 13 euros, with special offers for couples, families, and groups. An “open” entry option allows flexibility in choosing your visit time. Various discounts are available, including student and company prices. Don’t miss out on this enchanting experience!

- Date: Beginning November 18, 2023 through January 7, 2024. Wednesday through Sunday, with exceptional openings on Monday, January 1 and Tuesday, December 19, 26 and January 2. Closed on December 24, 25 & 31
- Hours: 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., with staggered entrances every 30 minutes to facilitate access. Last entry at 9:30 pm. Scheduled closing at 11:00 pm. We suggest arriving 10 minutes in advance of your chosen session; it is not necessary to arrive much earlier because everyone who has an entry for that time will have access
- Drinks and snacks will be provided along the route and in the Lights and Delights area within the event
- Average duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes

- Select the type of ticket
- If you purchase an Open admission, you do not need to choose the day or time at the time of purchase. Open tickets are limited and will be on sale until sold out. Open Tickets do not allow you to skip the line
- Choose the day. Ticket prices start at €13, varying depending on the day of the week. Attention! On 24, 25 and 31 December we are closed
