Liberation Day – National Holiday

Liberation Day, is celebrated every 25 April to commemorate Italy’s liberation from Nazi-fascism, the end of the Nazi occupation and the definitive fall of the fascist regime.

Throughout Italy, parades, marches and rallies take place.

Shops and businesses are usually closed.

Public transportation schedules may be reduced or limited.
