Giorgio Armani: Milano Per Amore- 50 Years of Fashion at Brera Pinacoteca

September 24, 2025 - January 11, 2026

For fashion and art lovers, there is a new must-see exhibition in Milan. The Pinacoteca di Brera, one of Italy’s most prestigious art museums, is currently hosting “Giorgio Armani: Milan with Love,” a tribute to the iconic fashion house and its founder on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. This exhibition is not simply a retrospective, but a cultural and artistic dialogue between the timeless elegance of Armani’s designs and the eternal beauty of the artworks displayed in the museum.

Exhibition

Giorgio Armani. Milano, per amore

From September 24, 2025, to January 11, 2026

Pinacoteca di Brera

The exhibition, curated by Chiara Rostagno and Angelo Crespi, features 133 pieces from both the women’s and men’s collections, carefully placed in the museum’s halls to create a parallel journey between the history of fashion and the history of art. Each creation is paired with a masterpiece, creating a harmonious and almost ethereal connection between the two. From the iconic “greige” suit that made an appearance in the movie American Gigolo to the striking blue evening gown that seems to glow next to the Madonna and Child by Giovanni Bellini, this exhibition is a true celebration of beauty and craftsmanship.

The aim of this exhibition, as stated in Armani’s autobiography, is not to satisfy his ego, but to share and inspire young creatives. And this idea is reinforced by Rostagno, who believes that many young artists from the Brera Academy will find courage and inspiration in this display of timeless elegance.

The exhibition is part of a larger project to revive and share the maison’s rich heritage. In fact, during the Milan Fashion Week, Armani will launch a new digital platform, Armani/Archivio, which will catalogue 50 years of his creations. This project will also include a “circularity” of some historical pieces, which will be re-selected and put back on sale in selected boutiques.
