“The Costume Jewelry Collection of Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo” to Be Showcased at Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense in Milan, Italy
Milan’s Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense will be hosting a special exhibition from October 9, 2025 to November 2, 2025, featuring the renowned collection of costume jewelry owned by internationally known art collector, Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo. This unique showcase, titled “Costume Jewelry. The Collection of Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo,” will present a history of the collection, showcasing non-precious jewelry pieces from the 1930s to present day.

Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo is a world renowned contemporary art patron and collector. Her private collection of costume Jewelry will be on display in Milan until from October 9, 2025 to November 2, 2025.
The exhibition, presented in conjunction with the release of the eponymous book published by TASCHEN, will highlight the evolution of costume jewelry from a simple alternative to authentic jewelry to a true creative language. Attendees can expect to see grand necklaces, colorful earrings, eccentric brooches, and original bracelets from some of the most important designers in the industry, including Trifari, Marcel Boucher, Coro, William De Lillo, De Rosa, Eisenberg, Miriam Haskell, Eugène Joseff, Kenneth J. Lane, Pennino, Wendy Gell, Iradj Moini, and Billy Boy.
Located in the Sala Maria Teresa at the Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense, the exhibition will have a dual entrance from both the library and the Pinacoteca di Brera. Admission is free and no reservation is required. The opening hours are Monday from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm (access only from the library, with the last entry at 5:30 pm), Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm (last entry at 5:30 pm), and Saturday from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm (last entry at 1:00 pm).
In addition to showcasing the stunning collection, the exhibition also aims to shed light on the cultural significance of costume jewelry and its evolution throughout the decades. It serves as a reminder that even non-precious jewelry pieces can hold immense value and artistic expression.
