Coming out of COVID-19 lockdown: Events, galleries and museums in Milan started opening once again in Feb 2021, but it is wise to check with the venue and book tickets in advance.
Christmas Tree
The main Christmas tree in Piazza Duomo this year will be surrounded by smaller live trees which will later be planted in the city public parks and gardens.
The 2020 Christmas tree in Piazza Duomo was designed by Marco Balich and donated to the city by the Bracco Foundation. Sponsorship is provided by Coca Cola Italy and donations will go towards Banco Alimentare, the Food Bank.
Coca Cola will also support Banco Alimentare on National Food Collection Day, scheduled for Saturday 28 November, with support – the Coca Cola truck – which will help logistics at a time when the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 emergency force having to give up the help of many volunteers.
The Christmas tree lighting ceremony usually happens on Dec. 8, but this year’s date is still to be announced.
