CHRISTMAS GOSPEL SHOW PERFECT HARMONY – THE VOICES OF VICTORY

They shared the stage with Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees, Simple Minds and the Irish singer Sinead O’Connor, who recently passed away. They are the members of the gospel band Perfect Harmony – The Voices of Victory, on stage at the Agìmus on Christmas day.

A family affair, this formation, which at the beginning was only called Perfect Harmony.

The group was, in fact, created thirty years ago by Jennifer Ingram and her talented daughters Nicole and Chrystal, with Christian Spirit Taylor, Nicole’s husband, enlisted as pianist. Inspired by female groups such as the Clark Sisters, The Pace Sisters En Vogue, SWV, Mary Mary and many others, Perfect Harmony has set out from the beginning to keep the gospel tradition alive. And at the same time, starting from the perfect family harmony of its members, it was able to represent on a philosophical and religious level a miraculous sense of balance in a world increasingly animated by hatred and resentment. The spark that made this formidable ensemble explode is to be found in the appearance on the well-known television program Celebration of Gospel, thanks to which Jennifer Ingram and co had the opportunity to release their first album The Next Level with the Chrystol Clear Coundz label .

A work which, in addition to guaranteeing the group concerts and radio and television appearances, was awarded with the South Florida Gospel Music Awards in three categories, «Best new gospel group of the year», «Best gospel trio» and «Best new artist» . Thus, in 2014, in the wake of a truly remarkable success, the band decided to expand its personnel by including more voices and a rhythm section, the same one by which it is accompanied in this Apulian concert. From the expansion of the original group, Perfect Harmony – The Voices of Victory was born: a process that the founders of the group completed after selecting the best voices in Georgia with the aim of making the initial nucleus even more dynamic and powerful in the revisitation of the classic gospel repertoire, with which for quite some years many American groups have made inroads among enthusiasts of the Old Continent.

An evolution thanks to which Perfect Harmony – The Voices of Victory has earned not only an increasingly important space in the theaters of Atlanta and in many American television programs, but has seen consensus grow beyond the borders of its own country with a series of European tours acclaimed by audiences and critics.
