Historical Dinner: La Pinacoteca Ambrosiana

A dinner, a story, a museum.
Tuesday 6 May sees the return of the Cena Storica, the event that combines the pleasure of the table with that of discovery.
The star of the evening will be the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, the oldest museum in Milan, a treasure chest and custodian of fascinating stories that span the centuries.
During the evening, between one course and another, I will tell the story of the birth and evolution of this unique place, commissioned by Federico Borromeo in the seventeenth century to bring art and knowledge to the service of the city.
Cena Storica: the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana
But not only that: I will take you inside some of the most precious – and often surprising – works that the Ambrosiana houses. Masterpieces that speak, that excite, that tell much more than what you see at first glance.
It will not be a lesson, but a journey.
A journey made of anecdotes, curiosities, images and suggestions.
And, of course, we eat!
A real dinner, served and enjoyed in company, because culture – when it meets good food – becomes even more beautiful.
Tuesday 6 May, save the date.
Because if it is true that Milan is a city of art, then it is also true that certain stories should be heard… at the table.
