The world-renowned Salone del Mobile Milano, the international furniture and design fair, has officially announced its 64th edition to take place from April 21st to 26th, 2026 at the Fiera Milano Rho. With over 1,900 exhibitors, including 36.6% from abroad, and a completely sold-out exhibition space of over 169,000 square meters, this event is set to be an immersive experience for design enthusiasts and industry professionals alike.
The 2026 edition will feature the much-anticipated return of biennial exhibitions, including EuroCucina with FTK – Technology For the Kitchen, showcasing 106 brands from 17 countries, and the International Bathroom Exhibition, with 163 brands from 14 countries. Additionally, SaloneSatellite will present 700 designers under the age of 35, along with 23 international schools and universities, solidifying the Salone’s role as a hub for contemporary design and culture.
The fair will also introduce Salone Contract in 2027, a new venture exploring major themes in the ever-evolving design ecosystem, including context interpretation, visitor experience, integrated supplies, and B2B networking. The Masterplan for this project has been entrusted to renowned architects Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten (OMA).
The 2026 edition will also see the debut of Salone Raritas, a curated platform showcasing unique pieces from 25 exhibitors, curated by Annalisa Rosso, Editorial Director and Cultural Events Advisor of Salone del Mobile Milano, and brought to life by Formafantasma exhibition design. Another highlight will be A Luxury Way, featuring “Aurea, an Architectural Fiction,” an immersive installation designed by Maison Numéro 20 that transforms interior design into narration and scenography.
The fair’s communication campaign, “A Matter of Salone,” will focus on the transition from gesture to form, highlighting the significance of materials in design. This campaign, created by Motel409, will feature the work of six contemporary creative figures, including photographers Charles Negre, Eduard Sánchez Ribot, and Alecio Ferrari, and set designers Studio Végété, Laura Doardo, and Stilema Studio. The project aims to convey the complexity of design through a multidisciplinary approach, showcasing the power of matter, light, gesture, and transformation.
