Centrally located five star, luxury hotel in Milan.
Renowned architects Studio Marco Piva meticulously redesigned the former Allianz Italia headquarters, maintaining its iconic trachyte façade and distinctive oxidized-copper roof. This transformation has resulted in a five-star haven that blends high aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability, aiming for a LEED Gold certification.
The hotel’s 159 rooms and suites, conceived as urban lofts, feature expansive windows and interior glass walls that flood the spaces with natural light. Custom-built furniture and a palette of rich browns, blacks, and blues create a luxurious, Milanese-inspired atmosphere. Guests will appreciate the high-end amenities, including Culti Milano products, plush bathrobes, and Nespresso machines.
Public spaces, designed by Milanese talents AtelierP and Alessandro Cesario, showcase an “elegant maximalism” aesthetic. Bold geometric floor patterns, inspired by classic Milanese mansions, adorn the lobby, co-working areas, and the hotel’s all-day dining venue, Sofia Kitchen & Bar. This restaurant, set in a former courtyard now covered by a glass roof, blends historical and modern elements, offering Mediterranean and international dishes, complemented by a fine selection of wines and Milanese cocktails.
The seventh-floor ISSEI Rooftop offers a unique dining experience with its Nikkei cuisine, a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavors. Signature dishes like Hamachi ceviche with yuzu leche de tigre and Wagyu beef tartare with crispy rice highlight the innovative menu. The rooftop’s stylish atmosphere and sweeping views of Milan make it a perfect spot for aperitivos, dinner, or evening cocktails.
A new fourth-floor terrace features an outdoor swimming pool and lounge bar, providing a serene urban escape during the warmer months. Guests can also enjoy the 24-hour fitness center and sauna.
“We are thrilled to welcome guests to this exceptional Milanese experience,” says Marco Scola, General Manager of the hotel. “From our stylish rooms to the dynamic food and drink offerings, the Radisson Collection Hotel, Santa Sofia Milan is perfect for business, shopping, or simply enjoying the city.”
Chema Basterrechea, Global President and COO of Radisson Hotel Group, adds, “This hotel is a proud addition to our Radisson Collection in Italy, marking our fifth luxury property in the country. We aim to expand our portfolio to 30 hotels by 2027.”
