Sport in Milan

Formula 1 one Monza, F1 Grand Prix is usually held in early September

30 minutes away from Milan lies one of the oldest tracks in Formula 1, the Monza Autodromo racetrack. It is also one of the most evocative of venues, the banked curves of old have long gone but the atmosphere remains as a temple to all things Ferrari.  HOW TO GET THERE

BY TAXI

It is best to go to and from the stadium by public transport (there is a lot of traffic in Milan).

A taxi from Milan’s city center will cost about  €10-15,00.

BY PUBIC TRANSPORT

By Bus 90 and 91 from the center, or Tram 16 (was tram 24).

By metro take line MM1 (red line) to Lotto and walk or take a shuttle bus provided on match days.

BY CAR

By car you will need to get to the Milan western ring road Tangenziale Ovest. The way to the stadium is clearly sign-posted, you will see signs for the stadium (Stadio S. Siro) or the hippodrome (Ippodromo). Parking is limited to 4,000 cars so if you intend on going by car, go early.
